This short hike takes in the old villages of the commune and their historical heritage. Departure point : At the start of this hike, visit the church of Saint-Cornély. Built in the 17th century, this is one of the finest Renaissance-style religious monuments in Morbihan. Dedicated to Saint Cornely, protector of horned animals, the church features a granite baldachin overhanging the north porch unique in Brittany.

Step by step
1) Go down the lane, leaving the church on your right, and turn left into rue de Colary. Leaving the village, walk along cultivated fields and meadows to reach the Croix de Kergouellec, a sculpted granite cross dating from 1854.

2) Then head for Beaumer, passing the Kergouellec pond. At the heart of this ancient village lies a dolmen. This tomb, known as "Er Mané", dates from the Neolithic period (between 7,000 and 4,500 years ago). It has been a listed monument since 1929. The covering slab is decorated with small circular cavities called "cupules".

3) Follow the signs for Kerfraval and Montauban, then take the ancient Roman road to Cloucarnac. This ancient village has changed over the years, with the construction of contemporary houses and the restoration of old farmhouses. Return to the tourist office along the same route.
