The Alignements of Carnac
The Carnac alignments are a collection of nearly 3,000 stones erected during the Neolithic period of prehistory between 5,000 and 2,000 B.C. They are the most famous and impressive structures of this period.
The inhabitants of this period were great megalith builders, and have left us a wealth of stone architecture: menhirs, dolmens, covered walkways...
The Carnac alignments are at once a historic monument, an exceptional piece of architecture and an extraordinary natural site!
These different dimensions of discovery and interpretation of the site contribute to enriching the emotion it arouses.
