In this show, Marc de Blanchard magically and poetically explores an extraordinary universe: the marine world, or to be more precise, the hidden fauna of residual pools: small bodies of water that remain in the hollows of rocks at low tide. These miniature worlds that you observe in the hollows of rocks, eager to catch a glimpse of some amazing living beings leading their lives far from humans. A microcosm made of bubbles, algae and strange shells, revisited here in a phantasmagorical, multicolored form.
Marc de Blanchard plays with scales, crosses practices and mixes music, video mapping and puppets to follow the life of a small being full of surprises: the hermit crab. We marvel at the mysterious pop atmosphere, populated by sparkling barnacles, playful crustaceans, stinging anemones and bioluminescent plankton. The artist accompanies this underwater life with electronic compositions, dreamlike or danceable, imbued with a certain 60s nostalgia, like a wink to the music of adventure films...
