While Kris Nolly is the name he uses when working with other musicians, Looshan reveals his Caribbean roots and identity more strongly here with the "Call & Response" project. On stage, alone at the machines and microphone, he delivers music drawn from his family recordings (St. Lucia, Caribbean) or from the Lomax collection, combined with live electro-modeling of sound material. The result, enriched by the projection of live images created for the project, has a global bass aesthetic that's Afro, affriolic and creolized.
