The Musical Thousands Concert THE CURIOUS BARDS

At 9 p.m., THE CURIOUS BARDS, BAROQUE ENSEMBLE. ​Traditional music from the Gaelic and Celtic world. Since 2015, The Curious Bards has brought together five musicians who love traditional music from the Gaelic and Celtic world. Five instrumentalists from the world of early music and the prestigious conservatories of Lyon, Paris and Basel.
A same path where everyone, for several years, has integrated traditional Irish and Scottish music into their practice and professional career. An ensemble that wants to be rigorous in its research, innovative and creative in its musical intention. Modern-day bards, endowed with a spirit of discovery and a demanding practice, they create a sound marked by the authenticity, warmth and contagious energy of Gaelic music. In 2015, The Curious Bards ensemble benefited from the support of the Cité de la Voix de Vézelay as part of its young ensemble scheme, then was selected in 2016 by the EEEmerging project led by the Ambronay Festival. Since 2020, The Curious Bards has received support from Caisse des Dépôts as its main sponsor.The ensemble's first album was released in the fall of 2017 on the Harmonia Mundi label.
