Claude LEGAL, trumpeter, began his musical studies at the CNR in Nantes. After working with Robert Bouché (principal trumpet at the Opéra), he entered Pierre Thibaud's class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. He won a first prize in 1978. He went on to perfect his skills with several masters: Thomas Stevens (soloist in Los Angeles), James Stamp (American teacher), Jean Greffin (former soloist at the Paris Opera). Since then, in addition to his teaching activities, he has given numerous concerts in various ensembles.
Christian BERTRET immersed himself in music at a very early age.
1976: 1st prize for excellence at the École Supérieure de Musique in Paris - Studies in writing and composition at the Cité des Arts in Paris.
1978: Fascinated by the organ, he studied with Felix Moreau, titular of the Great Organ of Nantes Cathedral.
1994: Honorary prize at the UFAM competition in Paris
1955: Licence de virtuosité at the Marcel Dupré national organ competition in Chartres, France
Christian Berthet teaches piano and organ at the St Aignan municipal music school and the St Philibert de Grand Lieu music school. For several years, he has taken part in numerous events as accompanist and soloist in various festivals, particularly in Brittany: Auray, Carnac, the cathedrals of Dol de Bretagne and Nantes, as well as Chartres, Paris and Germany.
Alongside his teaching and concert activities, he writes or arranges pieces for organ, bombarde and various small orchestral ensembles. He is titular of the "Van Bever" organ (1895) at Saint Philibert de Grand Lieu.
