Saint Sane
favorite_borderAdd to favouritesThe most notable is the altarpiece of the south chapel. It provides in relief, with brutal realism, the scene of the beheading of John the Baptist (decapitation).
According to records, the church Saint-Sane dates of 1640. However, it has been amended by annexes which have been grafted to the ship at different times.
The church is the result of the merger of two chapels, which gives it an original character with its two steeples opposed. The sacristy was built with stones from the old chapel of Sainte-Suzanne, who stood in the north. It was his pinnacle that dominates the east gable.
Through Art Detour, the church is open every Wednesday from 2.30pm to 6pm, from 12 July to 12 September 2010.
