The undergrowth paths provide access to the Mané-Bogad park (lake, children's playground, picnic tables, fitness trail), Ploëmel's villages, chapels, fountains and small heritage sites.
Step-by-step: Start: Take rue du Groëz-Ven, cross the railway tracks to the right towards Locoal-Mendon. Turn left directly after the railroad. Sights in town: Chapelle Notre-Dame de Recouvrance (16th century), in flamboyant Gothic style. Dedicated to sailors, it is dedicated to Notre-Dame de Recouvrance. It is a place of pilgrimage for mothers and wives of sailors without news of their missing loved ones. Parallel to the parish church, the chapel was once separated from the church by the cemetery. It features 16th- and 17th-century murals depicting scenes from the Passion of Christ and a marine ex-voto. Open July and August.
1) Take the road to the left, then a path to the left to the Dolmen de Mané Bogad, a tomb dating from the Neolithic period (7,000 to 4,500 years BC). Retrace your steps and follow the track opposite towards Locmiquel.
2) Turn right before Chapelle Saint-Laurent (early 16th century). This flamboyant Gothic chapel was commissioned by the noble de Talhouët de Keravéon family, owners of the neighboring château in Erdeven. It is dedicated to Saint Laurent, a young deacon martyred on the gridiron on August 10, 258, and invoked to heal burns. The church features beautifully carved doors, sculptures on the exterior cornices, statues and an ex-voto inside. Open daily. On leaving the chapel, turn left, then left again 50 m further on. Continue along this path until you reach a small road, which leads to Saint-Cado.
3) Chapelle Saint-Cado was probably commissioned in the late 15th century by the Chohan de Coëtcandec family, lords of Kerbernès. The altar, contemporary with the chapel and once entirely painted, bears two coats of arms, one hammered with the stag motif, symbol of this wealthy Locmaria-Grand-Champ family. The stained-glass window, with its fleur-de-lis surround, depicts the legend of Saint-Cado. Open daily. Leaving the Saint Cado chapel, turn right.
4) In Locmiquel, turn right, then left, then left again.
5) In Keraudran, turn left, then right 50 m further on.
6) Turn right, then left after 50 m, towards the Lande de Rennes housing estate. 7- Take the road to the right in the housing estate.
8) Take the right-hand path back to the village.
