Macramé is a knot-weaving technique invented in the 13th century by Arab weavers. Derived from classical weaving, it allows you to create different patterns with strings or cords. Today, macramé is highly appreciated for its ethnic style, and is used for both decorative and fashion items.
In this workshop, you'll make a short, removable handbag strap. It can be adapted to any bag with loops or eyelets. Through this exercise, you'll discover different macramé knots and go home with a few technical sheets to continue practicing this fun weaving technique. No need to know how to sew to create textiles.
