Clepsydre exhibition

Chapelle St-Esprit et Pont St-Goustan
56400 Auray
In summer 2024, artist Thomas Bischoff takes over the Chapelle du Saint-Esprit with an immersive, interactive installation that will transform the chapel into a gigantic Clepsydre. Everyone will be able to activate various devices in which water will play the leading role in a theater of tilts, upward and downward movements, creating small creaks and suction sounds in a silent universe. Buoys, hoists, outriggers and other fittings will float in this space, transforming the large building into an immense ship/laboratory for an imaginary handyman-savant. The spectator will be able to wander through this installation, punctuated by the flow of water and transported into another temporality.

Experience for yourself the physical principles at work in the "Clepsydre" installation, through small manipulations and games.

Guided tours of the exhibition are offered every Saturday at 11 a.m., without reservation and free of charge.

Closed on Tuesdays.
