Festival des Chapelles #4 - "Voden" - Chapelle Saint Sauveur

Vóden brings together Marguerite Lersteau on nyckelharpa and David Sévérac on hurdy-gurdy. Through two
often little-known ancient instruments to which are added touches of song and kavals, their duo - sensitive and explosive - interprets a traditional and composed repertoire, in line with their Scandinavian and Balkan influences. Sounding like a single entity, sometimes like a thousand, the illusion is given by the melodies and chords that interweave around all their strummed strings, sometimes softly, sometimes energetically. From Sweden to Turkey, from polska to kopanitsa, they offer listeners their shared attraction to the exploration of folk music and the quest for rhythm.
