L'échappée céramique" potters' market
L'Echappée Céramique is a new event dedicated to contemporary ceramics, hosted by the commune of Locmariaquer in the Gulf of Morbihan.
Supported by the Argile Bretagne association, this potters' market will present 25 ceramists from a wide range of backgrounds and techniques at an exhibition and sale.
On display will be tableware: plates, cups, salad bowls, butter dishes, jugs, teapots... art and decorative objects: vases, boxes, sculptures... as well as jewelry.
The Ceramix area will also host a number of events:
- An educational mini-exhibition on the origins of ceramics since Neolithic times: When did the first traces of ceramics appear? When did the first firings take place? etc... as well as explanations of clay and the main stages in the manufacture of ceramics to demystify the world of ceramics.
- A slip table will be set up for the little ones to let their imaginations run wild as they draw in the clay.
- Modeling animation with Bol et Cie.
