Classified as Historic Monuments in 1862, the 195 megaliths (Mégas Lithos: Large Stones) are oriented East-West. Today, these alignments are 200m long in 5 rows, and date from between 5000 and 2000 BC. In fact, just a few centuries ago, there were 1,130 of them in 11 rows, making a total length of 2 km and a width of 65 m. Guided tours are organized by the Tourist Office for individuals in July and August, and for groups on request.
