Treac'h er Goured, Island of Houat
Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brittany, the dune belt of Treac'h ar Goured stretches in an arc over 2 km long, to the east of the island of Houat. Joined in the middle by a small humid valley and protected from the prevailing westerly winds, for most of the year it enjoys a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, only occasionally disturbed by a storm. From the ocean to the summits, every type of dune is present. The site is owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral (French coastal protection agency).Unsupervised beachThe island of Houat can only be reached by boat, 30 minutes from Quiberon.
