Reading Nights 2026: 5 days of nocturnal entertainment

Médiathèque " le passe temps " 34 rue du Général de Gaulle
56550 Belz
On the occasion of the 10ᵉ edition of the Nuits de la lecture, organized from January 21 to 25, 2026 by the Centre national du livre at the suggestion of the Ministry of Culture, the media libraries of the Terre Atlantique network are offering a rich, unusual program open to all.

This year, the national theme "Towns and Countryside" invites the public to explore the relationship between urban and rural territories, an inexhaustible source of literary inspiration: landscapes, rituals, imaginary worlds, contrasts, mobility, nature, and more. A subject that resonates at the heart of our times, with its ecological and societal challenges.

From January 20 to 25, 14 of the region's media libraries are joining forces to offer a series of original evening events: shows, lectures, readings, workshops, sleepovers, games, sensory trails and more. A varied program for all ages, entirely designed to celebrate the pleasure of reading, discovering and sharing.

Night-time highlights for all audiences
What if, for once, we discovered the media libraries at nightfall? For five days, local residents are invited to push open their doors and enjoy a variety of unique experiences: comedy shows, storytelling, immersive readings, sensory journeys, creative workshops, encounters, musical moments and pyjama parties.
A unique opportunity to rediscover these cultural sites from a new angle.
