Screening of the "Mémoire Locale" Project in AURAY
This is an opportunity to (re)watch the archival films shot in Auray, preserved by the Cinémathèque de Bretagne and specially selected for this Local Memory project with children from the Arlequin after-school program and residents of Le Bocéno.
This film program was then shown to many residents of Auray, both children and adults. During the screenings, we recorded the questions and testimonials of the participants, who shared memories, told stories, and explained what the images alone could not convey.
Finally, sound design workshops with Hocine Hadjali, children from Arlequin, and residents of Le Bocéno were organized to create the film’s soundtrack: sound effects, songs, music, and ambient sounds.
The editing of all these elements results in a 45-minute film showing Auray as you have probably never seen or heard it before.
You’ll be able to (re)watch archival films shot in Auray, preserved by the Cinémathèque.
Children are welcome: the Children and Youth Services department will offer workshops to keep them occupied during the screening.
At 8:00 PM there will be a concert and dancing by Kevrenn Alré, and numerous activities and exhibitions about Auray’s heritage will be on display in the cinema lobby
Online reservations recommended
