Claire de Broucker, a painter and sculptor, is exhibiting her works at the Saint-Michel Chapel through July 23.
A resident of Locmariaquér for over 30 years, she did not choose painting by chance. Even as a child, she found joy in drawing. After five years of study at the Beaux-Arts, she took a break from painting but continued to create portraits.
She returned to painting with acrylics, which she studied under Mathieu Bobin, a painter and illustrator in Vannes. Ten years ago, she discovered sculpture with Lucy Pulvertaft Boureau in Pluneret, to whom she still entrusts the firing of her clay pieces today.
