"What are megaliths? Who built them? Is it true that archaeologists have found jewels?" Pupils in the CP-CE1-CE2 class at Eric Tabarly school in St-Pierre-Quiberon had lots of questions on the subject of megalithic monuments!
The Centre des Monuments Nationaux, visual artist Erika Raio and the Musée de Préhistoire de Carnac offered to answer some of these questions during an Artistic and Cultural Education project that enabled the pupils of Ms Morgane Bono-Casandjian's class to discover the monuments of their region, Carnac and the collections of the Musée de Préhistoire, and above all to experiment with a number of artistic practices.
The graphic works of the "Artistologues" from the Eric Tabarly school will be on display at the Maison des Mégalithes in Carnac until spring 2026.
The "Artistologues de Carnac" project illustrates the Centre des Monuments Nationaux's policy of artistic and cultural education, which aims to make young people in the region active players in the enhancement, promotion and preservation of the monuments they have inherited from previous generations.
