Exploring the Lighthouse

Phare de Kernevest
56470 Saint-Philibert
The Kernevest Lighthouse, also known as the Crac'h Lighthouse, is a historic lighthouse located in the town of Saint-Philibert.
Built in 1855 by engineer Plassard and master mason François Marchand, it played a crucial role in maritime navigation by guiding ships to the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer.
The lighthouse was electrified in 1952 and was permanently decommissioned in 2012, but a second light was installed to continue guiding ships.

The lighthouse is now a heritage site, and the municipality of Saint-Philibert renovated the old lighthouse in 2014.

Tours are available by registration at the Saint-Philibert town hall.
