Applying a tourniquet, preventing choking, or knowing how to respond to a burn—is it child’s play? Not really, since only 40% of French people are trained in first aid, one of the lowest rates in Europe.
Yet, as we know, these skills are essential for increasing the chances of survival in the event of an accident. In fact, you’re the first link in the rescue chain in 9 out of 10 emergency situations!
Anticipating, preparing for, and avoiding dangers are skills that can be learned.

This summer, instructors from the French Red Cross are bringing out the mannequins to teach first aid to people of all ages on the beaches of La Trinité-sur-Mer.
Come learn life-saving techniques for free this summer (𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲):

Two sessions offered each day: from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. 𝗼𝘂 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
August 7 and 8: Men Dû Beach

No special equipment is required; first responders from the French Red Cross will provide the necessary supplies. Just bring a bottle of water, comfortable clothing, and a smartphone to download the “L’Appli Qui Sauve” and “Staying Alive” apps.

Registration is required at the La Trinité-sur-Mer town hall

Please note: On August 14, 2026, the same program will be held on Carnac’s main beach
