In France, the play premiered in 1972 at the Théâtre Antoine in Paris’s 18th arrondissement, directed by Jean Le Poulain. It was first broadcast on December 26, 1975, on TF1 as part of the hugely popular and successful show *Au théâtre ce soir!* On stage, the lead roles were played by Maria Pacôme, Jean Le Poulain, and Odette Laure.
