In 1823, the Bretons of Morbihan decided to dedicate a mausoleum to the memory of Georges Cadoudal, leader of the Breton Chouannerie movement who was born in Kerléano, and his comrade-in-arms, Mercier la Vendée. The neoclassical structure is listed as a Historic Monument.
