The Friends of Carnac invite you to rediscover one of the town’s most iconic landmarks.
Overlooking the landscape from the top of the Saint-Michel burial mound, the chapel is a familiar part of the Carnac residents’ skyline. But what do we really know about its history and what it holds inside?
After discussing its past and the many stories surrounding it, we’ll step inside this place—usually closed to the public—to discover its little-known treasures. Among them is a remarkable mural created in 1961 by the Breton artist Alice Pasco—an original and surprising work that few people have had the opportunity to admire until now.
An invitation to take a fresh look at our everyday surroundings and at a heritage that is as precious as it is fragile.
