There's no such thing as a perfect mother...and thank goodness!
Talk by Marie-Charlotte Clerf, family coach
Before becoming a parent, we often imagine a perfect child… and a perfect parent. Then real life sets in: “He won’t sleep.” “He has a stomachache all the time.” ” “School is complicated.” “He’s testing our limits, and we don’t know what to do anymore.”
And at the same time, contradictory advice floods the media: some claim that even a single shout damages a child’s brain, while others advocate strict discipline, where the parent commands and the child obeys. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, caught between conflicting commands and theories.
To catch your breath, understand what’s really going on, and find guidelines accessible to everyone, sometimes all it takes is… learning to parent with common sense.
A conference open to everyone to reflect together on the art of embracing imperfection.
