For nearly twenty years, Ours (aka Charles Souchon) has lent his distinctive, gentle voice to a rich and varied repertoire. His work is characterized by a chiaroscuro quality, and with each project, he takes care to constantly reinvent himself. This is evident in *Le Spleen d’une vie sublime*, his fifth album released in the spring of 2025—a work that remains consistently light and luminous, yet in which the musician also takes on a slightly more serious tone.

A sensitive observer of the contemporary world, Charles Souchon—his real name—weaves a wide range of expressions that he captures with delicate touches. Now a father, the man who for so long cast a modest veil over his emotions is now embracing a new direction: that of recounting life and its mysteries in a direct, unpretentious style. For the first time, Ours invites his brother, Pierre, and his father, Alain Souchon—a tireless master craftsman of sounds, textures, and lyrics—to join him on an album.
