Let’s kick off the third LE LAB night: Les Nuits Soniques x Athéna! An evening all about new experiences, discovery, diversity, and youth… in search of the rap, hip-hop, and electronic gems that will shape the musical landscape of tomorrow!
8RUKI: From rap to plug, from boom-bap to trap, from Afro sounds to sung melodies, this Paris-area native’s music has, since his earliest tracks, continually explored genres without worrying about barriers or the labels people might attach to his music.
SURPRISE: Surprise is reality viewed through a distorting mirror. Influenced as much by Kali Uchis’s whimsy as by Mac Miller’s versatility, Surprise has developed a unique identity. This identity draws its depth from the diversity of genres explored—from rap to jazz to house—including an iconic collaboration with Mandyspie. Rejecting conventions—especially those imposed on women—Surprise composes, raps, and sings with the same spirit of defiance.
