Exhibition: Some Roots Are Beginning to Show
The exhibition’s title, “A Few Roots Show Through,” evokes those elements that lie just below the surface, of which we can see only a trace.
These traces inspire the artist to scratch away to uncover the full extent of the root system, or to imagine what treasures might be buried there. To share her discoveries, she primarily creates installations and performances.
Yaëlle most often works collaboratively.
The two works she is presenting at the Carnac Media Library were created collaboratively, with a focus on questions of what is “shared” or what binds a “community” together.
