Tales from the World Between

Salle de La Madeleine 11 Rue de la Madeleine
56330 Pluvigner
Celtic tradition holds the belief in a dual world: the world (ar bed) in which we live, and the other world (ar bed arall)—a “somewhere else” that is very close, almost a mirror image of the first. Between the two, the boundary is tenuous, sometimes open (Halloween) to messengers and signs. Christianization helped to fuel this vision.
Tales of wondrous journeys into the afterlife, of “intersignes” (seblantoù), of Ankou, of Anaon (the people of souls)...

Tales straight from the oral tradition.

Stories and tales: D. Carré; music: Glenn Gouthe (flute, uilleann pipes).
