Earth's Climate: Keys to a Thorough Understanding
"The Earth's Climate: Keys to Understanding How It Works and How It Changes," a lecture by Yves la Gabrielle
The goal is to provide the basic scientific principles needed to fully understand how our global climate works and what causes its variations. We will see that the climate is governed by heat exchanges between the ocean and the atmosphere and that these exchanges are controlled by factors both external and internal to the Earth, such as the distance between the Earth and the Sun, the tilt of the Earth’s rotational axis, and the composition of our atmosphere.
100-seat auditorium—reservations recommended by November 11: aec.reservation@gmail.com
Tickets available in the auditorium lobby on November 12 starting at 4:45 p.m.
