Kellek in Concert + Jimmy Pierre Solo as the opening act
KELLEK:
For two decades now, Simon Le Quellec has been carving out a unique path in realistic and popular song (folk music, as Americans would say). A subtle and sometimes cynical chronicler of everyday life, he explores our relationship with the world with humor and tenderness, at times baring his soul on finely crafted melodies, or, conversely, carving out uncompromising portraits with a sharp knife set to raging riffs.
For while the greats of the past have passed down to him a love of rhyme and wordplay, he has also drawn inspiration from punk, hip-hop, and the blues, and for the past 20 years has been involved in numerous successful projects and collaborations (La Petite Mort, Les Doigts du Cru, Bob & Flanaghan, Mathilde en Chansons, The Day Trippers, TakaToum, Cie Instants...) that go against the grain of trends and styles.
In this age of electronic music and 5G, Kellek is dusting off his old electric guitar, and he fully intends to shake up Brittany, accompanied by Laurent Preney on bass and Jérôme Gloaguen on drums... So, if you’re lucky enough to run into these three at a bar, on a cobblestone street, or down a side street, don’t hold back: Kellek is to today’s French chanson what salted butter is to margarine!
A concert full of energy and poetry!
Opening act:
JIMMY PIERRE is the stage name of Jean-Pierre Bayon, a French singer-songwriter who has recorded several albums, accompanied singer Anne Vanderlove as a second guitarist, and participated in the recording of her album "RUE COLOMBUS," and who wrote the book "RIEN NE S'OPPOSAIT À LA VIE," published by "LES MANDARINES."
JIMMY PIERRE will perform his pop-folk-rock compositions in French as a solo artist.
