The 07/02/2026
100% Irish concert in support of St Goal Church
The evening begins with Seahan:
A little girl chases her kite through the Irish mountains of County Wicklow when it runs into a mysterious cave of a thousand stories.
With the finesse of their fiddle, the passion of their guitar and the harmony of their voices,
Johanne and Nicolas take you on Seahan's adventure, inviting you to turn the pages of his story in an atmosphere that is at times intimate and passionate, at other times festive and light, where storytelling and virtuosity melt into the sea spray of the Emerald Isle.
This tale is inspired by Irish history and folklore, in particular the Corridor Tombs that adorn the peaks of Ireland's Wicklow mountains (Seahan, Seefin and Seefingan) and are the subject of Celtic beliefs about the passage to the "Other World".
Johanne KERNIN and Nicolas BOBLIN have shared a passion for traditional Irish music for many years. In creating Seahan, they are exploring a horizon woven from their respective influences, an adventure to be followed for the duration of a special concert.
The evening continues with the Duo Menguy&Bérenguer:
Another album of Irish music performed by Breton musicians?
Attention! Complementarity, research and creation are the only motivations for these two exceptional musicians ...?
There's no question of making shamrocks in the foam we serve.
The Irish repertoire is not reduced here to its seductive force alone; on the contrary, the accompaniments to the melodies are refined, the ornamentation carefully adapted.
They both channel their energy as if to keep alive the reminiscences of a mad dance far beyond conventional clichés.
A rich, inspired inner journey that's not without contrast, thanks to the "over-exposure" and "over-impression" the duo play with.
Tickets on sale at the Mairie and on site.
