The 25/04/2026
Birdbox concert
BirdBøx:
Straight from Auckland NZ, unless it's another pearl from the London scene, BirdBøx is a real heartthrob!
from the London scene, BirdBøx is a real favorite! Their
debut album Dreamland has just been released and is already making
brand.
From the outset, it's hard not to think of the Black Pumas.
same orchestration (guitars, drums, three vocalists, no bass!), for vibrant soul soaring
by a singer already seen with Wax Tailor and Hocus Pocus.
There are also pure folk ingredients, including a stunning cover of the all-too rare Jordan Mackampa's
rare Jordan Mackampa: "Teardrops in a Hurricane". Sometimes the music is
therapy, other times it's a banner! The metamorphosed version of
of "Teardrops" is an antidote to the current gloom, a generational anthem
in troubled times.
BirdBøx is a rare vocal alchemy between a singer and two backing singers;
telluric drums, the skins sounding like drums, and a guitar
a guitar full of ornamentation, finely-laid touches of color.
Cast:
David Le Deunff Vocals/Guitar
Eddy Leclerc Guitar
Louise Robard Vocals
Julia Paugam Vocals
Robin Tixier Drums/Percussion
