The 25/01/2026
Boreal Lands, Spitsbergen - Greenland - Alaska - Taimyr
Ciné doc
The Far North is a little-known world, a hostile land where ice and animals reign supreme. For more than a decade, the author has approached these boreal lands, so beautiful, so strong and yet so fragile. He has met these men living in symbiosis with them, and today he delivers a few nuggets from his travels. First, he heads for Spitsbergen and the coast of Greenland, before crossing the mythical Northwest Passage to Alaska. Finally, in the Taimyr region of northern Siberia, Jacques Ducoin will share the life of the Dolgans, a small semi-nomadic reindeer herding people. The last representatives of this small people, there are barely 250 of them living traditionally, forgotten by the world in a territory the size of France.
Screening in the presence of the director: Jacques Ducoin from Cercle des Voyageurs.
