Circus Under the Big Top - Mad in Finland
Combining circus feats, biting humor, and folk music, *Mad in Finland* is a whimsical and heartwarming satire of Finnish culture. With a brilliant sense of caricature, eight circus sisters—all of whom left Finland for the love of the circus—are brimming with energy and humor as they reveal their country to us, just as they see it or dream of it: the polar night, championships of all kinds, ski jumping, forests teeming with lumberjacks, the Finnish passion for the sauna… Powerful women with strong-willed personalities, they’ll chip away at our preconceptions about femininity and gender with high-energy axe swings. Trapezes, tightrope, aerial silks, rola bola, hand-to-hand acrobatics, and live music make up this joyful and generous performance in the original language.
