Comics and storytelling
Art Conference - "Comics and narrative: how to read a comic? "by Philippe HARNOIS.
Philippe Harnois, Culture referent and art teacher at Lycée Benjamin Franklin, has already won over his audience on several occasions, at the request of the Art et Culture association.
The comic strip is a narrative that combines elements of text and image to tell a story. Known as comic strip or comic brook, the comic strip originated in the 19th century in the United States, where artists such as Rodolphe Töpffer and Richard F. Outcault created pictorial stories with text. However, it was in the 20th century that comics really took off, with creations such as Flash Gordon (1934) and Superman (1938).
Room capacity: 100; reservations recommended by e-mail up to and including January 21.
Tickets on sale: Thursday January 22 in the Terraqué lobby from 5.15pm.
