Dance - lyrics - Tendre Carcasse
What role does the body play in the construction of identity? How does the gaze of others change the way we see it?
Based on these questions, choreographer Arthur Perole has gathered the narratives of four performers in their twenties, united on stage like a choir. Bordering on autobiography and fiction, Agathe, Elisabeth, Arthur and Mathis question the injunctions to please and assignations, gently reflecting on their complexes and memories of puberty.
Omnipresent, the voices gradually fade into the gestures. As the music swells, bodies attune to the rhythm of a joyous trance, free of the spoken word. A pulsating, contagious party where you can shed your burdens in a spirit of collective goodwill.
Arthur Perole gets to grips with the way we look at our bodies, transgressing them to a crescendo of visceral, liberating energy. A pulsating, contagious party where we shed our burdens in a spirit of collective goodwill. A vibrant declaration of love to all our "carcasses"!
