Must-sees: an art deco church for the station area, Charles-de-Blois church
Around the station, the new district that developed at the beginning of the 20th century needed a church for its inhabitants. Inspired by the Middle Ages but employing the latest construction techniques, this vast Art Deco church was begun between the wars under the impetus of Canon Chevassu. It takes its name from a pretender to the Duchy of Brittany who was killed a stone's throw away during the Battle of Auray in 1364.
Megaliths, churches and chapels, and unique 20th-century architecture, Les incontournables opens its doors to you for a visit with a guide from the Culture and Heritage Department of the Pays d'art et d'histoire Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique.
Free admission for children under 13 and holders of the guide-conférencier card.
