Plant workshop at the farm nursery
NEW for 2026: a workshop to learn how to grow your own plants at home, to become more self-sufficient or just for the pleasure of growing your own vegetables from start to finish.
You'll learn how to do it with or without a greenhouse, where to get your seeds, what potting soil to use...
We'll cover the production of simple plants like lettuces and herbs... as well as more technical crops like tomatoes, sweet potatoes, zucchinis...
The workshop will take place in our nursery, where we produce almost all the plants for our farm.
Children are welcome too, along with their parents, so that they too can learn how to make their own seedlings!
This is the first time we've offered this unitary workshop: until now we've only offered a vegetable garden workshop cycle of 6 sessions from November to June to cover all the notions involved in creating a vegetable garden, but in response to demand from several people, we've decided to offer you a specific "sowing and seedlings" session.
Practical info :
*Wednesday April 29 - 5pm-7.30pm
*Location: these workshops will take place on our micro-farm Graines de Saint Germain (a diversified AB vegetable production farm) in Erdeven.
*Trainer: François Reveau, associate of GAEC Graines de St Germain since October 2020 and previously a market gardener for 10 years.
*Places limited to 12 people
*Price: €35 for the workshop. You'll leave with seedlings made during the workshop and seedlings to plant directly at home.
What participants 2024-2025 liked about our garden workshop cycle (6 sessions from November to June):
the alternation of theory and practice (being in the field for certain workshops: composts, sowing, seedlings, watering, pruning, soil preparation...)
simple explanations, ideas, tips and techniques that are easy to apply at home in your own vegetable garden
the setting and welcoming atmosphere of the micro-farm, with visits at every turn to see how the vegetables evolve with the seasons
a teaching approach accessible to all
open-ended questions at each workshop and answers to everyone's questions/issues
