Show: La femme torche
Marianne OSWALD, a great and singular performer of the 20th century.
Singer, actress, radio and TV producer, publisher, her husky, "intriguing" voice left its mark on her time. Forgotten, she had a thousand lives and an incredible destiny.
Born in 1901 in Sarreguemines (then German), she met Kurt Weill, Bertold Brecht, Erika and Klaus Mann.
A friend of Prévert, Cocteau and Max Jacob, she was nicknamed the "poets' sister". A phenomenon in Paris in the '30s, she was admired by René Char, Albert Camus, Juliette Gréco, Barbara and many others.
An unloved child, authentic, touching and insolent, she lived through the joys and tragedies of a century swept by war. She looks at the world with lucidity, without complacency.
