On the left is Cadoudal Park and its mausoleum. The mausoleum was erected in memory of Chouan general Georges Cadoudal, where his remains rest today. Built between 1825 and 1852, it has been listed as a historic monument since 1981.
Turn right into the allée du Mausolée. At its end, turn right and quickly left at the crosswalk into the allée Marie Lefranc. At the end of this turn right to join the path under the trees.
Continue along this path, descending along the Reclus stream to Avenue de l'Océan.
Cross the cycle path and the road, go down the stairs and turn left. Turn right into the woods and immediately right. At the top of the climb, leave the path on your left and continue straight ahead.
At the crow's-foot, turn right. Continue along the path, leaving the wooden footbridge on the right, the staircase on the left and the metal footbridge on the right. At the next crow's-foot, keep left and continue along the path through the woods.
Continue straight ahead to the edge of the business park (cinema, swimming pool, hotel, restaurants). Take the Chemin de Kerudo to the right, which continues into a street.
At the end, cross the D765 and take the Toulchignanet cul-de-sac opposite, then the road in its continuation. At the end, turn left into rue Francis Le Hellec, then right into rue de l'Egalité. Turn right at the railroad underpass and follow the road to the traffic circle. Cross the roundabout and turn right. Turn left, then left around the Chartreuse d'Auray buildings. The Chartreuse is the only surviving monument of Cartusian architecture (built by Carthusian monks) in western France.
At the end of the driveway, cross at the traffic circle and continue straight ahead on Rue de la Bataille. Turn right after the houses. In the housing estate, take rue de la Chevallerie on the left, then the first street on the left. Follow the footpath to reach the road below.
Head for the alley leading to Champ des Martyrs. In 1795, Chouans and royalist émigrés who had landed in Carnac and Quiberon were shot for wanting to re-establish the monarchy. The neo-classical chapelle expiatoire was built in 1823-1824.
Follow the path along the Loc'h river. Pass under the viaduct, then turn right to climb slightly before descending again. Continue along the path, turning left after the wooden footbridge and left again after the next one. At the end of the climb, turn left until you reach the Terre-rouge traffic circle.
Turn right, cross the road and go around Memorial 80. Take the left-hand path to Avenue Wilson. Turn right, then left into Rue du Sablen.
At the end of the street, turn left and cross the Square Castelbar. Continue straight ahead on Quai Martin. Turn right before the bridge over the river and climb the steps.
Continue along avenue de la Madeleine, then turn left into rue Saint-Yves. Cross over to rue des Roses, then turn left onto rue des Chênes. Take the small path to the left of the Domitys entrance, continue along the street, then turn left. As you go downhill, turn left between the parking spaces.
