Crossing the Ria d'Étel
The Ria d'Étel is the natural link between the Communauté de Communes of Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique (AQTA) and Blavet Bellevue Océan (BBO). Numerous visitors and residents cross the river to discover the natural and cultural riches of both banks, and to take advantage of tourist activities (gastronomy, leisure activities, beaches, hiking, etc.).
SPL Auray Carnac Quiberon Tourisme would like to study the possibility of resuming a regular sea link between the towns of Etel and Plouhinec, separated by the ria d'Etel. This sea crossing is part of a global approach aimed at :
- strengthen the region's appeal as a tourist destination by offering a range of tourist attractions
- promote the region's natural and maritime heritage,
- improve tourist mobility,
- reduce journey times between the two shores and ensure continuity for pedestrians and cyclists.
The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to gather proposals from economic operators interested in :
- The operation of a maritime crossing (passenger boat),
- Between the two banks of the ria, between the Port d'Etel and the Port du Magouër in Plouhinec,
- For passenger and bicycle transport.
It aims to :
- Assess the technical, economic and regulatory feasibility of the project,
- Assess the interest of the market and invite bids and proposals,
- Entrust a private operator with the operation of the crossing for the 2026 season.
