Charles-de-Blois Church
Overlooking the station district, with its high spire and medieval fortress decor, the Charles-de-Blois church is a striking and remarkable example of religious architecture from the 1930s.
Charles de Blois was the pretender to the succession of the Duchy of Brittany, and died not far from the site.
Designed by architect Guy Caubert de Cléry, the church features a reinforced concrete and metal frame structure that was extremely modern for its time, as well as stained glass windows by the famous Mauméjan firm.
Open only during guided tours offered by Détour d'Art.
