A Day with David Balade: Workshop and Lecture
David Balade is an artist, author, and illustrator, and an expert on the Celtic world. He is one of France’s leading specialists in Celtic graphic design and symbolism.
He invites us to learn from him during two events: a creative workshop and a lecture.
->Creative Workshop: The Basics of the Triskelion and the Celtic Spiral - Duration: 2 hours
An introduction to the geometric construction of double and triple spirals, as well as the triskel—a traditional Celtic motif and symbol—using a ruler and compass on paper.
Free – registration required – adults and children ages 12 and up
->Lecture: The Mystery of Celtic Symbols, at 6:30 p.m. – Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
David Balade will explain the main Celtic symbols (spirals, triskels, interlacing patterns, labyrinths, Celtic crosses, and bestiary). Join him to discover the origins of these symbols, their significance, and their probable interpretations in the Celtic world.
