A performance combining dance, acting, and spoken word—*Les fous*—*aux pieds bleus* 'EXTRA'

A Pacific seabird that is clumsy on land but a formidable diver. Its bright turquoise feet are on full display during a spectacular courtship display. The blue-footed booby raises its feet, waddles, spreads its wings, points its beak toward the sky, and whistles. This poetic interplay of contrasts—between aerial grace and clumsy gait, joyful display and vulnerability—inspires the work of the LUCANE Company. Four performers with diverse backgrounds explore their unique qualities together: Stéphane Imbert (over 40 years of dance experience), Aëla Labbé (dancer-photographer), Jules Lebel (a young dancer met at a special education center), and Félix Leclerc (a percussionist and tap dancer).

Building on AC/DC, their duet blending dance, voice, and scenic installation, the company continues its commitment to dance by and for all bodies. The performers draw inspiration from Fauvism and art brut, films by Godard and Cassavetes, and questions about madness, normality, and what defines our individuality. The improvisation of movement, sound, and speech gives rise to a poetics that transcends conventional codes.
