Geneviève Martin invites you to discover Ayurveda—known as the “science of longevity”—which originated in India over 4,000 years ago. Both an ancient medical system and a philosophy, Ayurveda invites us to view health differently: not simply as the absence of disease, but as a state of overall balance between the body, mind, and environment. During this lecture, we’ll explore the Ayurvedic view of health and the human being, then its approach to the body and its structure, as well as its diagnostic methods, and finally the fundamental principle of the five elements that make up everything. We will see that each individual has a unique constitution and how this influences our digestion, emotions, and vitality. We will discuss practical tools for restoring balance: a tailored diet, nutrition focused on digestion, and natural remedies to incorporate into daily life.
