In their show *Rêves*, the Ukrainian circus artists of Cirque lnshi convey a message of hope and resilience in the face of the conflict in Ukraine.
“Rêves” is a production created in exile, a story of tenacity and virtuosity. It bears witness to a generation of young people whose lives have been upended by war and stands as a remarkable example of the high standards and exceptional quality of Ukrainian circus art. In a chiaroscuro atmosphere, each artist recounts in their own way—through their discipline and apparatus—the dream they had before February 24, 2022, a dream shattered by the Russian invasion and forced exile. Every movement, in its impeccable purity, reveals the artists’ determination to live, to resist, and to dream, against all odds. A breathtaking circus performance, as classic as it is poetic.
