A film by Lynda Paquette and Martin Parent of the Cercle des Voyageurs Bordered by the Pacific, crossed by the Andes, and bisected by the equator, Ecuador is an extraordinary land boasting one of the world’s greatest biodiversities and a rich cultural mosaic composed of the descendants of Spanish and Indigenous American ancestors, as well as 13 Indigenous peoples. On the slopes of dormant volcanoes, in the heart of tropical forests, in coastal villages, and on the streets of Quito, the identity of each of these groups is intimately linked to its territory.
