The 07/11/2026
Documentary Film Month
Saturday, November 7 – 6:00 p.m. – Return to Fukushima – Running time: 80 minutes
With director Thomas Licata in attendance.
For several years now, the Japanese government has been building housing developments right in the heart of Fukushima Prefecture. More than a decade after the accident, this region—still heavily contaminated—is seeing the emergence of these concrete neighborhoods, isolated in the midst of wild and radioactive nature. This film paints an intimate portrait of the residents of these places and offers a poetic reflection on the region.
Theme: Against the Current. An open-ended theme, exploring the world and those who navigate it in unconventional ways.
Free admission—registration recommended—all ages welcome
