On Sunday, February 14, check out the travel and adventure documentary film series: Australia, “From the Far West to Tasmania.” A film by Dong Wei and Jean Charbonneau.
Synopsis
After 18 years of regular trips to Australia, Jean Charbonneau and Dong Wei take you on a journey to discover a lesser-known, wilder, and more spectacular side of Australia. In Western Australia, the country’s largest state (five times the size of France), you’ll experience the dream of vast red, semi-desert landscapes, a paradise-like coastline, and unique natural wonders—home to the world’s largest iron and gold mines. Perth is its capital—a young, wealthy, and isolated city.
Tasmania is Australia’s smallest state, offering the complete opposite: lush, rolling, refreshing landscapes where the world’s tallest trees grow, sheltering extraordinary wildlife such as wombats, pademelons, and, above all, the famous Tasmanian devils. A “Switzerland of Australia,” where traditions and the art of living well are cherished.
