Guided tour of the Saint Julien semaphore - European Heritage Days

By reservation only: Special opening of the St. Julien Semaphore during Heritage Days.

The semaphore was established in 1947 at Fort Kernavest, in the former artillery command post, following the burning of the Locmaria semaphore by Nazi Germany in 1944
The semaphore in its current form was built in 1976. It monitors the coastal waters around Quiberon, oversees the anchorages in the Palais harbor, and assists with fisheries monitoring.

The 1-hour tour is by reservation only through the Quiberon Bay tourist offices and must be booked by 2:00 p.m. on September 15 (limited spaces available)

Tours last 1 hour and take place:
- Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.
- Sunday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Valid ID required (European and NATO zone nationals only)
Not accessible to people with limited mobility (87 steps)
